Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has enraged a number of first-team players at the Camp Nou over his failed pursuit of Neymar, according to a report.
The Barca chief had given assurances to the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique that the deal would be done, but has failed to deliver on his promise.
According to Marca, the influential trio now believe that Bartomeu made false statements in a bid to appease them, and that he never truly committed to getting the deal done.
Other players that have been upset by the pursuit of the 27-year-old Brazilian are those that were seemingly made disposable. Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele, Arthur and Nelson Semedo were all offered to Paris Saint-Germain as part of a deal - but all remain at Barcelona.
It is understood that these players have been made to feel marginalised, and that Ernesto Valverde has a tough task ahead to stabilise the dressing room.
The Blaugrana have taken just four points from their opening three league matches and host Valencia on Saturday night.
