Barcelona are reportedly struggling to pay the release clause of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann in a straight one-off fee.
The Catalan giants are known to be keen on the French international, who has already announced that he will leave Atletico during the summer transfer window.
However, Diario AS claim that Barcelona are having problems when it comes to meeting Atletico's demands for the required £108m fee to be paid in one installment.
The La Liga champions had wanted a deal to be completed as soon as possible, but there is a suggestion that a short-term cash-flow problem has curtailed their plans.
The report also claims that some of Barcelona's staff were paid three days late for last month, a further indication that the club need to make player sales in the coming weeks.
