Barcelona president Joan Laporta has met up with agent Mino Raiola during a trip to Italy.

The Catalan giants are still having to deal with major financial problems, a situation not helped by their failure to qualify for the Champions League last 16.

Nevertheless, they continue to be linked with a wide range of high-profile players, including Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland.

Unless they raise significant funds through player sales, Barcelona are unlikely to emerge as genuine contenders for the in-demand Norwegian.

Nevertheless, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Laporta still took time to hold discussions with his representative Raiola on Monday.

While they are likely to have spoken about more than just the 21-year-old, Raiola has recently suggested that Barcelona are an option for his client. body check tags ::
