Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Barcelona.
Since leaving Liverpool for Stadio Olimpico in 2016, Alberto has established himself as a key man at Lazio, netting 24 goals from 124 appearances in all competitions.
Although the Spaniard has just two years left on his contract, Lazio are attempting to agree fresh terms with the playmaker before the next window.
However, reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona are considering making a bid for a player who has previously represented their 'B' team.
During the 2012-13 campaign, Alberto scored 11 goals from 38 appearances during a loan spell, form which ultimately led to Liverpool moving to sign him from Sevilla.
A potential stumbling block could be the fee, with Lazio prepared to demand in the region of £45m.
