Barcelona have reportedly emerged as contenders to sign Monaco right-back Vanderson this summer, with the La Liga outfit looking to bring in a top-class full-back to their squad.

The 21-year-old has been a regular fixture for the Ligue 1 club so far this season having appeared 22 times in the league, providing three assists as Monaco fight for a top-two spot in the standings.

Since moving from Brazilian side Gremio at the end of 2021, Vanderson has featured 52 times for Les Rouge et Blanc, scoring twice and helping his club to a third-placed finish last campaign.

According to Sport, La Liga giants Barcelona are interested in signing the Brazilian this summer, with the player continuing to impress in Ligue 1 for Monaco.

The report adds that the Catalan club have been tracking the progress of Vanderson all season, concluding that his style of play is aligned with the 'Barcelona way'.
