Barcelona have reportedly made an opening approach for Noussair Mazraoui, with the Catalan giants desperate to sign him on a free transfer this summer.
The 24-year-old has been with Ajax since 2006, progressing though the youth system at the club, while he has represented their first team on 130 occasions in all competitions.
The right-back has again been a key player for his Amsterdam club this term, making 28 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals and four assists in the process.
However, Mazraoui will be leaving his current side on a free transfer this summer, and a number of clubs have been linked with his services, including AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have now made an 'opening proposal' for the defender and are 'pushing' to bring him to Camp Nou.
The report, though, claims that Milan and Dortmund have also made contact with the defender's agent Mino Raiola to register their interest in his services.
Mazraoui has impressed in the Champions League this season, contributing two assists in seven appearances, with Ajax bidding to make the quarter-finals of the competition. body check tags ::
