Barcelona will reportedly meet with RB Leipzig in the coming weeks to discuss Dani Olmo, as the Catalan outfit want to re-sign the attacker during the January transfer window.

The Spain international represented the Catalan giants between 2007 and 2014 before leaving for Dinamo Zagreb, where he made 124 appearances before arriving at Leipzig.

Olmo has scored 12 times and registered 13 assists in 61 outings for his current club, and it is believed that Barcelona are keen to bring him back to the club in 2022.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Koeman's side have scheduled talks with Leipzig in the hope of agreeing a deal ahead of the January transfer window.

The report claims that the Catalan giants are prepared to wait until next summer to secure Olmo's signature but would prefer that the move was completed at the start of 2022.

The Spaniard, who provided three assists in five appearances at this summer's European Championship, still has three years left to run on his contract with Leipzig. body check tags ::
