Barcelona are reportedly preparing to restart contract talks with Sergi Roberto before the month ends.
The versatile Spaniard is due to become a free agent in the summer of 2022 but has talked up his chances of signing a new deal at Camp Nou.
Talks between the two parties have not led to a positive solution just yet, though, with the latest round of negotiations believed to have broken down approximately four weeks ago.
However, Marca reports that La Blaugrana are set to sit down and resume talks with Roberto in the next two weeks, with Joan Laporta considering him a 'beloved' member of the team.
The report adds that a two-year offer is on the table, but negotiations broke down last month due to the Blaugrana wanting Roberto to agree to a 50% wage decrease, which he was reluctant to accept.
Roberto boasts two goals and one assist from eight games in all tournaments this term and has won six La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns during his time with the Blaugrana.
