Borussia Monchengladbach defender Alvaro Dominguez has insisted that teammate Marc-Andre ter Stegen is not too young to join Barcelona.
Ter Stegen has been widely linked with a move to the Camp Nou as a replacement for Victor Valdes, although talks have reportedly stalled in recent weeks.
While admitting that he does not want Ter Stegen to leave, Dominguez is confident that the German goalkeeper would succeed at Barcelona should the move occur.
"There's no such thing as being too young when you are good - and Marc is very, very good," the Spanish defender told Bild.
"I am just happy that he plays for Gladbach and I hope that he stays here. He can always join Barcelona in five years' time or so if he keeps up this form. We have not spoken about Barcelona yet."
Valdes, meanwhile, is widely expected to join Monaco in the summer.
