Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has revealed that his club will be active in the January transfer window if the right opportunity arrives.
The Spanish champions have been linked with a new right-back in recent weeks amid suggestions that Enrique is unconvinced by Sergi Roberto's suitability for that role as a long-term solution.
Barcelona have been credited with an interest in Valencia's Joao Cancelo in recent weeks, and the club's head coach has claimed that the Catalan giants "are open to improving" in the winter window.
"I'm not going to be very original and I will stay to you the same phrase I've been saying for two years or so. Barcelona are open to improving and to the transfer market," Enrique told Sport.
"If there is anything interesting that coincides with our interests at an adequate price, we will always be open, independent of whether we need it more or less."
Barcelona's La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are currently both banned from signing new players until January 2018.
