Former Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o is confident that Lionel Messi will finish his career at Camp Nou.
The Argentine has scored a remarkable 627 goals in 718 appearances for Barca since making his first-team debut in 2004 and is widely recognised as one of the best players in the history of the sport.
Messi's current contract will expire in June 2021, though, and it is thought that there is a clause in the South American's deal allowing him to leave for free at the end of any season if he wishes.
Eto'o, however, is of the opinion that his former teammate will end his career at the Catalan club.
"He can extend his contract at Barcelona. He still has the legs to go with it," Eto'o told Goal.com. "I think he will finish his career at Barcelona and if he feels he can do it then he can do it."
Messi had his injury problems in the early stages of the season but has still scored 24 times in 31 appearances at club level this term, in addition to providing 16 assists.
