Everton director of football Marcel Brands is reportedly hopeful that his club's strong relationship with Barcelona will help them to sign Jean-Clair Todibo this summer.
The Toffees have recently signed Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne and Andre Gomes from the Spanish champions and are now being strongly linked with a move for Todibo.
The 20-year-old joined Barca from Toulouse in January 2019 but has largely struggled to make his mark at Camp Nou, featuring on just five occasions in all competitions.
The Frenchman is currently on loan at Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga but is due to return to Camp Nou this summer.
Everton are said to be keen on a deal for the central defender, and according to Mundo Deportivo, the club hope that their strong relationship with the Catalan giants will help them secure his signature.
Todibo has made eight appearances for Schalke in the second half of the season.
