Reports in Spain suggest that Everton boss Roberto Martinez is considering a move for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.

Everton are interested in signing Barcelona's Alex Song, according to reports in Spain.

Song had been expected to sign for West Ham United this summer after a loan spell with the London club last season, but contrasting reports claim that Barca are struggling to offload the Cameroon international.

Spanish outlet Fichajes now suggests that Everton are interested in bringing Song to Merseyside with an offer of €5m (£3.6m).

Song joined Barcelona from Arsenal in 2012 but has failed to hold down a regular starting place at Camp Nou.
