Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has reportedly informed his close friends that he is no longer interested in a move to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old, currently on international duty with France, has been high on the Catalan giants' wishlist over the past few transfer windows.
Barca had hoped to finally land their man this summer, with his £87m release clause thought to have been triggered, but Spanish outlet ABC suggests that Griezmann may now stay put in the capital.
Atleti are said to be prepared to reward the former Real Sociedad star's loyalty with a new contract, making him one of the best-paid players on the continent.
Griezmann's relationship with boss Diego Simeone also played a big part in his decision, it is claimed, with the fiery Argentine persuading his star man that Los Rojiblancos can challenge for the La Liga title next season.
