Inter Miami are reportedly one of a number of MLS clubs attempting to sign Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.
The 33-year-old has again been a vital player for his Catalan side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 34 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and one assist in the process.
Busquets has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Camp Nou, though, and there have been suggestions that he is keen to seek a fresh challenge at this stage of his career.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Spain international was approached by MLS clubs last summer but decided to remain at Barcelona.
Romano claims that a number of North American sides will again try to sign the midfielder at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, with Inter Miami at the head of the queue.
Busquets has played 663 times for Barcelona in all competitions, which places him fourth on their all-time appearance list behind Lionel Messi (778), Xavi (767) and Andres Iniesta (674). body check tags ::
