Javier Mascherano has reportedly agreed a deal to join Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune.
Earlier this month, the 33-year-old revealed that his time with Barcelona was coming to an end.
The Argentine has a contract with the Catalan giants until the end of next season, but he has only started five La Liga matches this term after struggling to earn a regular spot in the team.
According to Diario Sport, Mascherano will complete a move to China at the end of January, where he will play under former Real Madrid and Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Mascherano has won four league titles, four Copas del Rey and two Champions Leagues during his time at Camp Nou.
