Juventus and Inter Milan are reportedly locked in a battle to sign Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic before the European transfer deadline closes at the start of next week.
Rakitic has only played 44 minutes of La Liga football for Barca this term, while the Croatia international will see his contract at Camp Nou expire in the summer of 2021.
Frenkie de Jong's arrival has seemingly pushed the midfielder down the pecking order with the Catalan giants, while Sergi Roberto and Carles Alena have also both been picked ahead of him this season.
According to Tuttosport, both Juve and Inter are interested in a loan deal for the 31-year-old, who has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain as a possible makeweight in the Neymar deal.
Rakitic has made 269 appearances for Barca since a 2014 switch from Sevilla, helping the Spanish giants win four La Liga titles, four Copa del Reys and the Champions League.
Manchester United had also been credited with an interest in the 2018 World Cup finalist before the English transfer window closed earlier this month.
