Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot 'offered to Barcelona'

Barcelona are reportedly offered the opportunity to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in 2023.

Barcelona have allegedly been provided with the opportunity to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a productive campaign for club and country, most recently impressing for France on their run to the World Cup final.

Regular outings for Les Bleus in Qatar have been earned through his performances for Juventus, Rabiot chipping in with five goals and two assists from 16 starts in Serie A and the Champions League.

However, Rabiot currently has just over six months remaining on his contract and seemingly has little interest in penning a renewal in Turin.

If reports are to be believed, Juve are currently not in a position where they would want to offer Rabiot a pay-rise, not helped by their early elimination from the Champions League.

Instead, his representatives are preparing to entertain different proposals in his services, something which can occur with foreign clubs in January.

According to Sport, Barcelona have been informed that they will be able to sign Rabiot if they are able to meet the camp's financial demands.

The report suggests that Rabiot would welcome the transfer to Camp Nou as we looks for the next challenge of his career, the first phase being spent at Paris Saint-Germain before leaving Parc des Princes as a free agent.

Furthermore, it is claimed that Barcelona is Rabiot's preference, despite having the chance to earn more money in the Premier League.

From the perspective of the Catalan giants, it has been well documented that they intend to sign a new midfielder at some stage in 2023.

President Joan Laporta has previously indicated that business in January is unlikely at a time when contract renewals may be prioritised.

However, Ruben Neves, Martin Zubimendi and N'Golo Kante - of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Real Sociedad and Chelsea respectively - have all been linked with a switch to the La Liga leaders at various stages.

Much may depend on departures with it currently being speculated that Sergio Busquets will end his legendary period in Barcelona colours at the end of the season.

There are also doubts over the long-term future of Franck Kessie, who is already being linked with an exit despite only signing on a free transfer earlier this year. body check tags ::
