Tim Krul has been identified as a candidate to provide support for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, according to reports.
Newcastle United kept the Dutch goalkeeper this summer despite speculation linking a number of clubs with a bid for the 24-year-old.
However, Alan Pardew could face another fight to hold on Krul with Barcelona preparing a bid to lure him to the Camp Nou next summer, suggests The Mirror.
Barcelona's current second choice goalkeeper is Jose Pinto but Tito Vilanova is rumoured to be keen to find a replacement for the 36-year-old.
Krul may choose to remain with Newcastle though, with Valdes having been a regular for the Spanish giants for a number of years.
