Luis Suarez has revealed that he is confident of signing a new contract with Barcelona.
The Spanish champions are believed to be in the market for a new centre-forward as they prepare to replace the Uruguay international, who will soon be 33 years of age.
Suarez's current deal at Camp Nou will expire in the summer of 2021, and it had been thought that the striker would leave the Catalan giants at the end of next season for pastures new.
However, the South American has revealed that he will soon hold talks with Ernesto Valverde's side over a new deal, which he believes will be agreed fairly swiftly.
"I'm very happy at the club," Suarez told Sport. "I have always given my all. The statistics and the numbers back that up, I think I am still at the top of my game and when it's time to talk, we will come to an agreement."
Suarez has scored 190 goals in 268 appearances for Barca in all competitions, while he has also provided an incredible 105 assists for the Spanish giants.
This term, the former Liverpool forward has struck 13 goals in 21 appearances at club level.
