Barcelona have terminated the contract of Maxi Rolon by mutual consent.
The Argentine winger arrived at Camp Nou in 2010 and he gradually worked his way through the Catalan club's La Masia youth system.
He had been tipped to break into the senior side at some stage, but that will now not happen following confirmation of his release.
The 21-year-old made 17 appearances for Barcelona B this season, from which he scored two goals and laid on a further two assists.
