AC Milan have insisted that centre-back Thiago Silva is not for sale any price.
The Brazilian international has been linked with a number of European clubs over the past few months, with Spanish champions Barcelona said to be one of his biggest admirers.
However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has told his Barca counterpart that he would be wasting his time by making an enquiry about the 27-year-old's availability.
"If [Barcelona president] Sandro Rosell asks me for Thiago Silva, I will reply that the player is not for sale," Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Silva is expected to miss Milan's Champions League match against Barca this evening with a thigh injury.
