Miralem Pjanic's chances of joining Barcelona during this summer's transfer window reportedly hinge on Brazilian midfielder Arthur agreeing to move in the opposite direction to Juventus.
Barca are believed to have identified Pjanic as a leading target ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, the Catalan club's vice-president Jordi Cardoner recently suggested that the Spanish champions will be looking to swap rather than buy players in the next transfer market.
According to AS, Pjanic's proposed switch to Camp Nou depends on whether Arthur, who has also been linked with Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur, accepts a move in the opposite direction.
Arthur recently insisted that he was not interested in leaving Quique Setien's side this summer.
However, the South American could allegedly be informed that he will struggle for regular game time next season if he remains in Catalonia.
