Barcelona are reportedly ready to revive their long-standing interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
The 25-year-old, who has struggled with injuries over the last couple of seasons, was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, but ultimately signed a new deal at Dortmund.
As it stands, the German international is contracted to his current club until 2017, but according to Goal.com, Barcelona are confident of prising the midfielder away in either January or next summer.
The same report also claims that Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida watched the central midfielder during Dortmund's 3-1 win over Werder Bremen at the weekend.
Gundogan has scored twice and registered five assists during Dortmund's strong start to their Bundesliga campaign.
