Barcelona could reportedly turn their attention to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl when the winter transfer window opens at the start of January.
The Catalan outfit are expected to be active in the window next month when their transfer ban comes to an end.
A host of players have been linked with the Spanish giants, but according to Sport, it is Weigl that has risen to the top of the list.
The 20-year-old, who came through the youth system at 1860 Munich, joined Dortmund in the summer, signing a four-year deal with the German team.
Despite only recently moving to Dortmund, Barcelona are said to be confident of turning the German's head and are prepared to wait until next summer to complete a deal.
Weigl has started 12 league games for Dortmund this season and has also appeared four times in the Europa League.
