Crystal Palace are reportedly hopeful of landing Barcelona midfielder Alex Song on a cut-price deal at the end of the season.
The experienced midfielder is currently back on loan at West Ham United for a second time, but is not thought to be a part of the Hammers' long-term plans.
According to The Sun, Palace are now ready to pounce for the 28-year-old former Arsenal man and are eyeing up a £4m permanent transfer in the summer.
Song cost nearly four times that figure when joining Barcelona from the Gunners in 2012 but, having failed to truly impose himself at both Camp Nou and Upton Park, he is now said to be seeking a new club elsewhere.
It is also claimed that the £80,000-a-week Cameroon international will have to take a pay cut if he is to make the short move south of the River Thames to Palace.
