Barcelona president Sandro Rosell believes that Victor Valdes will remain with the club beyond the summer of 2014.
The Spain international goalkeeper declared earlier this season that he does not plan to extend his current contract with the Blaugrana that runs out at the end of next campaign.
"I hope he will [agree to renew his contract]," Rosell told Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.
"Like I said, what we need now is for summer to arrive, for Barca to win everything possible, for Tito [Vilanova] to make a full recovery and talk to Victor Valdes and show him once again that the club wants to keep him here. Once all that's happened, I believe he will reconsider."
Both Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Liverpool's Pepe Reina have been linked with a summer move to Barcelona.
