Sampdoria are reportedly weighing up a summer deal for Barcelona defender Juan Miranda.
The 20-year-old joined Schalke 04 on a two-year loan deal last summer but has struggled to make his mark in Germany, featuring on just five occasions during the 2019-20 campaign.
Miranda could therefore return to Camp Nou 12 months earlier than expected in search of regular action.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Sampdoria are interested in signing the full-back, who has been capped at Under-21 level by Spain, during this summer's transfer window.
The defender was a regular for Barcelona B during the 2018-19 campaign and also made four appearances for the first team during that particular season.
Miranda was deemed surplus to requirements last summer, though, and his contract with the Spanish champions has just over a year left to run.
