Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie during this summer's transfer window, but they are facing huge competition for his signature.

The Ivory Coast international arrived at Camp Nou from AC Milan on a free transfer last summer, and he featured on 43 occasions for the Catalan giants during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring three goals and registering three assists.

There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the 26-year-old's future, though, with a number of clubs said to be showing an interest.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Villa are one of those in the mix, with Unai Emery's side keen to entice him to the Premier League during the summer window.

Juventus are also being heavily linked with Kessie, who is believed to be keen to stay at Barcelona this summer despite the club's apparent desire to move him on.

Everton, meanwhile, are said to be interested in signing Brazilian attacker Tete this summer.

The 23-year-old spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Leicester City from Shakhtar Donetsk, representing the Foxes on 14 occasions, scoring once.

Tete is set to leave Shakhtar this summer, and according to The Sun, he is wanted by Everton.

The report claims that the Toffees were interested in signing him in January and are now hoping to bring him to Goodison Park ahead of the new season.

Napoli and Lazio are also believed to have held discussions with the Brazilian, who has scored 31 goals and registered 15 assists in 108 appearances for Shakhtar in all competitions.

Elsewhere, experienced forward Edinson Cavani is said to be on the verge of joining Boca Juniors.

The 36-year-old is still contracted to Valencia, with his deal due to run until next summer, but he is allegedly on the verge of departing the Spanish outfit.

Cavani has been linked with a number of clubs in recent days, but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, he is on the verge of making the move to Boca.

Romano claims that his contract with the Argentine giants will be valid until December 2024, and an announcement on his arrival is expected to be made in the near future.

The Uruguay international scored seven goals and registered two assists in 28 appearances for Valencia during the 2022-23 campaign.

Staying with Valencia, Yunus Musah is reportedly on the verge of making the move to AC Milan.

The United States international has been heavily linked with a move away from Mestalla this summer, with Fulham believed to be interested in bringing him to the Premier League.

However, according to Romano, Milan are closing in on his signature, with the Italian giants identifying him as a priority target during the summer market.

Musah, 20, has been with Valencia since 2019, featuring on 108 occasions for the Spanish giants in all competitions, including 37 outings during the 2022-23 campaign. body check tags ::
