Hoffenheim defender Melayro Bogarde has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Aston Villa and Barcelona.
Despite only turning 18 years of age in May, Bogarde has made four first-team appearances for the German side, including three from the starting lineup.
However, the centre-back's contract is due to expire in 2021, inevitably leading to persistent speculation regarding his future.
According to Bild, Villa and Barcelona are among a number of European clubs who are bidding to sign the teenager next year.
The report claims that Borussia Dortmund and Ajax, both of whom possess strong track records when developing younger players, are also keen on the teenager.
Bogarde may wait to see what offers he receives during the January window before making a decision on his next move.
