Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly added Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena to their transfer target list, as he looks set to leave Camp Nou.
Alena spent the second half of the just-completed season out on loan with Getafe, where he scored two and provided as many assists in 22 La Liga appearances.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a permanent move to Getafe, Granada and Valencia, which would mean that the Barcelona-born midfielder could remain in Spain.
However, Birmingham Live reports that Wolves will be lining up an offer for Alena as Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho have been linked with moves away from Molineux this summer.
Wolves are yet to confirm who is going to replace Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm but Portuguese manager Bruno Lage is reportedly the front-running candidate for the job, and he could look to freshen up Wolves' squad.
Alena is an academy product of La Masia, and he has made 44 first-team appearances for Barcelona since his debut in 2016.
