Barcelona boss Xavi has not offered any indication as to whether the club are planning to re-sign Adama Traore on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.
The 26-year-old returned to Camp Nou on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January, and he has been a regular for the Catalan outfit since his arrival, featuring on 11 occasions in all competitions.
Barcelona have the option to re-sign Traore on a permanent basis this summer, but a recent report claimed that the Spain international was losing his battle to earn a long-term move.
When asked about the attacker, Xavi said that he was "an important part of the team" but offered no guarantees in relation to a permanent switch during this summer's transfer window.
"We will see what we can do at the end of the season, he played a good game last time and beat the defender well. He did what he had to do and contributed well, he's an important part of the team," Xavi told reporters.
Traore, who was strongly linked with Tottenham Hotspur before returning to Barcelona, only has little over 12 months left to run on his current deal at Molineux.
The forward has contributed four assists for the Catalan outfit since his return and has been named in the squad for Sunday's La Liga contest with Levante. body check tags ::
