Barcelona boss Xavi has insisted that Ousmane Dembele's situation "won't change" despite the club losing Ansu Fati to another hamstring problem.
Fati's latest injury will again limit Xavi's options in the wide positions, and there had been suggestions that the issue could force the Catalan outfit to keep Dembele for the remainder of the campaign.
However, Xavi has said that the club are still planning to sell the France international this month unless he decides to sign a new contract at Camp Nou.
"The situation (Fati's injury) won't change, he has to decide. It doesn't change anything," Xavi told reporters. "He's (Dembele) been training well, he's relaxed, he's one more member of the squad and knows his situation. I've been very clear. It depends on him."
Dembele is currently engaged in a war of words with Barcelona, but the World Cup winner is still said to be open to the idea of signing a new contract at the club.
The 24-year-old was left out of the squad for Thursday's Copa del Rey clash with Athletic Bilbao, and Xavi is yet to reveal whether he will be involved against Alaves on Sunday.
