Barnsley have confirmed the appointment of Danny Wilson for a second spell as manager of the Tykes.
Wilson, 53, returns to Oakwell 15 years after leaving the South Yorkshire club following four years in charge from 1994 to 1998, when he led the club to their one and only Premier League season in his first managerial role.
He has been out of work since parting ways with Sheffield United back in April.
Also a former Barnsley player, Wilson succeeds David Flitcroft, who helped the club survive Championship relegation last season but could not keep them out of the bottom three in the opening half of 2013-14.
Wilson takes over with the club rockbottom in the second tier. His first match in charge will be a trip to in-form Yorkshire neighbours Leeds United on Saturday.
