Barnsley manager Danny Wilson is reportedly keen to bolster his squad by signing centre-back Zat Knight.
The 34-year-old has been a free agent since the end of last season when he was released by Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers, where he had spent the previous five years.
There had been speculation that Knight was a target of numerous clubs in the MLS, but Wilson is confident that he can convince the defender to sign on at Oakwell, despite the fact that the club were relegated to League One last term, according to The People.
Knight started his career with Fulham, before he had stints with Peterborough United and Aston Villa prior to his switch to Bolton.
