Barnsley have announced the signing of Cole Kpekawa from Queens Park Rangers on a three-year deal.
The 20-year-old left-back, who can also play as a centre-half, arrived at Oakwell today after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
Manager Paul Heckingbottom told the club's official website: "We have monitored Cole for quite some time now and I am delighted to bring him in. He's tall, quick, strong, with a good left foot. He's only young and that will help him fit into this group of players.
"He's ambitious and wants to be here, that was key. He's demonstrated all the ability and determination to be a Championship player and I can't wait to get him integrated within the group, show him our system of play and get him out onto the pitch."
After making his senior debut at QPR in 2014, Kpekawa, who is capped at England Under-20 level, made eight more appearances and had loan spells at Colchester United, Portsmouth and Leyton Orient.
