Barnsley have announced the signing of striker Shaun Tuton from Halifax Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old joins the League One outfit on a two-and-a-half-year deal, with the option for the club to extend his contract by a further year should he impress at Oakwell.
Tuton scored 12 goals for Halifax during the first half of the season, despite the National League outfit sitting just two points above the relegation zone.
"I'm over the moon, obviously," he told Barnsley's official website.
"I've been stepping up over the past couple years from Evo-Stik to the Conference, within five months to get a move to a big League One club is great.
"When I first heard, I was sat waiting and heard a few rumours, when my agent said it was finalised I couldn't wait to get over and sign."
Barnsley are thought to have beaten off a number of other interested parties to land the signature of the striker.
