Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has insisted that the club must recover their "winning mentality" if they are to secure trophies next season.
The German outfit finished as runners-up in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League last season, but he has revealed that the Bavarians are "optimistic" about the new season.
"I'm utterly convinced we can be optimistic about the new campaign, although we've had a few things to get over. After a season like last term, you come back for pre-season training even more motivated," Heynckes told the club's official website.
"We've now won nothing for two years, so you have to report back for training with a completely different mental attitude, completely different motivation, a totally different approach. We have to recover our winning mentality at all costs, and we have to do something for that to happen.
"We have to do more than normal. It was shown again at the Euros: you can never be over-confident, never be satisfied, and you always have to step up another gear."
Bayern begin their league campaign against Greuther Furth on August 24.
