Nils Petersen has revealed that he wants to sign a permanent deal with Werder Bremen this summer.
The 21-year-old striker joined the Green-Whites on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich and is eager to carry on at the Weserstadion next season.
"My mind is completely made up - I want to stay," he told the Syker Kreiszeitung newspaper. "I just hope Bayern show understanding and say, 'We get the idea that Nils wants to do his thing in Bremen.' They might have to miss out on some money but, to tell it like it is, they also get rid of me.
"I know that FC Bayern are a commercial enterprise and that they have no reason to take the first offer and make their decision based on the wishes of the player.
"I know clubs capable of paying more will knock on the door. My hope is that Bayern just don't sell me off somewhere just because they can get more money."
Petersen has scored 11 goals for Bremen so far this season.
