Eden Hazard backs Yannick Carrasco's move to Dalian Yifang

Yannick Carrasco is better playing in the Chinese Super League than rarely featuring for Atletico Madrid, according to Belgium teammate Eden Hazard.

Eden Hazard has said that he has 'no problem' with any Belgian player who wants to play in the Chinese Super League.

Last month, Yannick Carrasco opted to leave Atletico Madrid in order to sign a deal with Dalian Yifang, although the newly-promoted side suffered an 8-0 defeat on the opening day of the new campaign.

However, while acknowledging that Carrasco's choice "seems bizarre", Hazard feels that the winger will benefit from regular game time in Asia more than rarely featuring for Atletico in La Liga ahead of this summer's World Cup.

The Chelsea forward is quoted by La Derniere Heure as saying: "I'm not inside Yannick's head, but I know that he wanted to leave Atletico Madrid. Perhaps China was the only option to leave. By staying at Atletico until the end of the season, perhaps he wouldn't have played at all.

"In China, it's certain he'll play a lot. Frankly, it's better to have playing time in China than be on the bench in La Liga.

"It seems a bizarre choice but he has his reasons, I'm sure of that. I don't have any problem with the Red Devils who go to China."

Carrasco has reiterated that he has ambitions to represent Belgium at the World Cup.
