Boca Juniors midfielder Cristian Erbes is reportedly on the verge of joining struggling La Liga side Real Betis on a long-term contract.
The 24-year-old, who came through the youth system at Boca, is believed to have travelled to Spain on Sunday afternoon ahead of completing his transfer later this week.
According to reports in Spain, Betis will pay around £800,000 for 50% of his rights from Boca, with the player signing a contract until 2017 with the Spanish outfit.
Betis have won just two of their 19 league games this season, with a total of 11 points leaving them bottom of the table, seven points from safety.
