Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has revealed that he was impressed with the debut of David Davis in their League Cup win over Cambridge United.
Davis has left Wolverhampton Wanderers to move to St Andrew's, and Clark believes that the 23-year-old can kick-start his career after making the switch across the West Midlands.
The 41-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "David Davis were excellent for us in midfield. I thought he was outstanding when you consider that he has not played much football.
"He cramped up towards the end. He displayed his character to stay on and fight through this spell. He was tenacious and quick across the pitch. He passed the ball well and we think we have a good one in Davis."
Davis made 53 appearances for Wolves before his exit from the club.
