Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has claimed that his first home match in charge of the club will only be a happy one if the team produce on the pitch.
The Blues host Championship leaders Watford this evening, three days after securing a point away at local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in Rowett's first game as boss.
Rowett has admitted that his return to St Andrew's will be an emotional one, having previously played for the Midlands outfit between 1998 and 2000.
"It's going to be great, I'm looking forward to it," he told the Birmingham Mail. "There's part of me that can't wait to walk out and sample that atmosphere.
"But I don't want to be walking out thinking this is just a great evening for everyone, we're firmly focused that we want to acknowledge the fans with our performance.
"That's going to be our main focus, we want to work hard for them and give them something back."
