Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has reportedly turned his attention to Bolton Wanderers attacker Zach Clough following the recent departure of Demarai Gray.
It is believed that the Blues received around £3.75m for Gray, who completed his move to Leicester City on Monday afternoon.
According to The Mirror, Rowett is now keen to invest some of those funds in Bolton's 20-year-old Clough.
However, the report adds that Birmingham may face competition for the £750,000-rated player from Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Reading.
Wanderers are known to have financial problems at present, which may result in them having to sell a number of players during this month's window.
