Birmingham City have reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign Rob Kiernan from Wigan Athletic.
The defender spent the final three months of last season with the Blues and is believed to have impressed in his 12 appearances for the club.
Birmingham were thought to have agreed a two-year deal to sign Kiernan, but they have now decided not to go through with the move because of some problems highlighted in the player's medical, according to BBC WM.
Kiernan is only 24, but Birmingham were the 11th club of his career because of several loan spells around the country.
