Birmingham City have recalled Hayden Mullins from his loan spell at Notts County for their final two games of the season.
The injury-hit Blues are short of cover at the back and felt that Mullins's presence was required as they look to avoid relegation from the Championship.
"We've been monitoring Hayden at Notts County and he's been excellent for them at centre-half," Birmingham boss Lee Clark told the club website.
Manchester United loanee Tom Thorpe has returned to his parent club after picking up an injury in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Leeds United, while Will Packwood is struggling with a hamstring strain.
Saturday's results saw Birmingham drop into the bottom three. They do have a game in hand on most of the teams around them - tomorrow night at home to playoff hopefuls Wigan Athletic - and then travel to Bolton Wanderers on the final day of the season this Saturday.
