Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has said that it is "not surprising" to see starlet Demarai Gray being linked with a Premier League move.

Bournemouth tried to sign the teenager in January and now Leicester City are being heavily linked with the wideman as Tuesday's transfer deadline approaches.

"Being the young talented player he is, it's not surprising there's a lot of speculation around him," Blues boss Rowett told BBC WM 95.6.

"We know that speculation is going to hot up as the window comes to a close."

Gray, 19, became a regular for the Blues last season, scoring six league goals in 41 Championship appearances.
