Jose Miguel Cubero could make his long-awaited debut for Blackpool when Championship football returns this weekend.
The 27-year-old midfielder is yet to play for the Seasiders after joining from Herediano this summer because of work permit issues, but he is now set to feature against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
"Cubero is finalising and submitting his visa application while over in the USA and hopes to be in a position to make his debut for Blackpool upon his return," the Lancashire club said on their website today.
Cubero played in four of Costa Rica's five matches during their impressive run to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
