Blackpool manager Neil McDonald has revealed that talks over a new contract for teenage talent Bright Osayi-Samuel are currently underway.
The young winger impressed in the Tangerines' 2-2 draw against Colchester United on their return to League One.
Samuel has yet to have signed professional terms at Bloomfield Road, however, meaning that Blackpool risk losing the 18-year-old to a bigger club.
Having already rejected one contract offer, McDonald says that an improved deal has now been offered to Osayi-Samuel.
"We are in talks still with Bright. That's ongoing at the moment," he is quoted as saying by the Blackpool Gazette. "We want to get that sorted as quickly as we can.
"I want players who want to play for Blackpool and are proud to. I think Bright has a big future with us."
Blackpool have already lost fellow youth-team graduates Harrison McGahey, Connor Hunt, Mark Waddington and Dom Telford in recent times.
