Stephen O'Donnell has turned down Blackpool's contract offer after the Seasiders agreed a fee with Partick Thistle for his transfer.
The Championship strugglers have failed to convince the 22-year-old to join them after the two clubs negotiated a fee in the region of £100,000.
"It wasn't something that came down to money," he told Partick's website. "My agent spoke to Blackpool and we decided that it just wasn't the right move for me at this time.
"I'm a Partick Thistle player and will be doing everything I can to make sure we finish as far up the table as possible, with top six still a very real possibility.
"I am happy where I am just now and I'm incredibly proud every time I pull on the Partick Thistle shirt. At this point I don't know what my future holds but the one thing I am certain of is that I will give my all for Partick Thistle as long as I am a player at the club."
O'Donnell has scored two goals in 21 Partick appearances this season.
